Maker Spotlight: Amy Robertson

You may already know this amazing sewist, but if not, meet Amy Robertson! Amy shares her work on IG @amyjohnstonrobertson. I love seeing what she’s making and I know you will too!

Here’s a little bit about Amy in her own words:

I started quilting in 2020, a year after my triplet girls were born and when my son was 3. I had always wanted to learn to sew and quilt, but after a disastrous experience in high school home ec, I didn’t think I was cut out for it. I picked a pattern, made a scrappy baby quilt, and fell in love. A month later, I applied for my first pattern test. I live in Canada and I’m a stay at home mama.

Collaborations are one of my favorite parts of having a fabric shop and it was such a pleasure to work with Amy. She chose this fabric pull which includes fabrics from the Birthday collection by Sarah Watts, Spark and Stay Gold by Melody Miller, and Cotton + Steel originals.

Amy is a prolific quilter and pattern tester and best known for her bold, modern, full-color fabric pulls! This quilt is the Plaid Stars Quilt by Grape Soda Studio.

Thanks so much Amy, for teaming up with me to help show off these beautiful fabrics!
