Free Halloween Foundation Paper Piecing Pattern

Amanda Kelly of Quiltcakes is back with another FREE foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern for you! This one is an adorable design to make a Boo Sign, just in time for getting your home festive for Halloween!

Foundation paper piecing is a really fun technique that allows you to create intricate, detailed designs and shapes by sewing directly onto a paper pattern with your sewing machine. The paper provides a foundation that stabilizes each piece as you add it to your work.

If you would like an intro to FPP you can find Amanda’s gemstone pattern and tutorial on the blog here which is great for complete FPP beginners!

Amanda also has a collection of FPP Halloween characters in her shop, including Witchy, Mummy, Dracula, and Frankie and his Bride! You can get the patterns individually or as a set. Find them all in her shop here.

Use your blocks to make a Halloween quilt or cushion cover, a wall hanging, or a trick-or-treat bag! Let us know in the comments what you plan to make with your block!

Download the pattern now!

Thank you SO much to Amanda for this super fun project for spooky season!
